8 Days Umbwe Route

Day 1: Arrive in Moshi;

Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel. Prepare for the challenging trek ahead with a briefing from your guide.

Day 2: Begin your ascent through the Umbwe Gate;

 entering the rainforest. Hike to Umbwe Camp, surrounded by lush greenery.

Day 3: Continue through the dense forest to Barranco Valley;

witnessing the changing landscapes. Camp at Barranco Camp, enjoying breathtaking views.

Day 4: Tackle the Barranco Wall;

 a thrilling climb, and proceed to Karanga Valley. Camp at Karanga Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Ascend to Barafu Camp;

passing through the alpine desert. Marvel at the looming peak of Kilimanjaro.

Day 6: Summit night! Start the ascent to Uhuru Peak;

reaching the summit at sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

Day 7: Descend through the Mweka Route;

passing through rainforest and heath zones. Arrive at Mweka Gate and transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Bid farewell to Kilimanjaro;

departing for your onward journey. Reflect on the incredible achievement and memories of conquering the Umbwe Route.
