Kilimanjaro 8 Days Machame Route

Day 1: Arrival and Preparation 

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation. Attend a pre-trek briefing, ensuring all equipment is in order for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp 

The trek kicks off at Machame Gate, leading through enchanting rainforests rich in biodiversity. Ascend gradually, reaching Machame Camp for the first night, surrounded by the mystical sounds of the forest.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp 

Venture beyond the rainforest into heath and moorland, experiencing a shift in landscapes. Reach Shira Camp at 3,840 meters, offering expansive views of the Shira Plateau and setting the stage for the days to come.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp 

Traverse the Shira Plateau, glimpsing the imposing Great Barranco Wall. The descent into the Barranco Valley is both challenging and exhilarating, with Barranco Camp awaiting at the end.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp 

Conquer the Great Barranco Wall, a thrilling ascent demanding focus. The trail then leads through alpine desert, with Karanga Camp providing a strategic stop for acclimatization.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp 

The path ascends to Barafu Camp, the final base camp situated at 4,600 meters. Trekkers rest, hydrate, and mentally prepare for the impending summit night.

Day 7: Summit Night - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp 

Commence the summit push well before dawn, navigating challenging terrain to reach Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. Descend to Mweka Camp, capturing the sunrise and celebrating the accomplishment.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

 The final descent through lush rainforests concludes at Mweka Gate. Receive certificates, marking the end of an extraordinary journey. Depart with enduring memories of Kilimanjaro's diverse landscapes and the triumph of reaching its majestic summit.
